We start out on Sunday at 10am with the train to York. It takes about two and a half hours and is a direct journey. When we get there the hotel is only 400 metres from the station and is in the city centre, so everything to reachable, however, the rain has been predicted. We have had fifty days of continuous rainfall so if we haven’t adjusted by now, we never will.
My expectations is that York is a ‘chocolate box’ experience. I’m not sure how Thao and Michael will see the place, positively I hope, but we will see. Bag is not ready but as it is a one nighter that is not an issue and it will be packed by 9pm tonight.
This is really the first of our ‘city breaks’ and i have quite a few places n mind to go to next. However, we must see how tomorrow goes first.
A low expectation and an open feeling about the whole process of ‘weekending’ our lives. Let’s just enjoy it.
