We arrived in York a few hours ago and checked into our hotel situated in the centre of town. Everyone was excited so we dumped our bags and headed into town to look around before shops closed (we arrived on a Sunday) and before it gets dark, today is March 1st.
The centre is so pretty with narrow streets and olde worldeness everywhere. About 75% of shops are eateries so the smells are wonderful. One of us had what I can only describe as a Yorkshire pudding wrap with a slice of pork and veg. It sounds amazing and a brilliant idea, however a few doors away was a Cornish pastie shop and we realised it was similar to that but twice the cost.
And he came too
